Quoting 'PeachyPearL' Wiggles over to make space for Envoy. Waves Vampavibe over to the spot she saved, your JD coffee is here ready for you... What was I saying, oh yes, Ms M, it was so much fun to watch the couple and woman together, the best people watching I ever had the pleasure of. It looked like they got along real well, there was a bit of footsy under the table, so sweet to watch them head off with hugs and kisses all round. Oh wait, checks out Hawty passing by wearing?... is that a cock cage? Come and sit by me sweet thang. You'll be safe with me... hehe How has your day been folks? We had a mystery delivery of Easter Eggs on our doorstep this morning. What a brilliant start to the day, wait, thinks, we haven't opened them yet... It is April Fool's too. I'll get back to you. Hmmm, think I'll have a Guinness, and something savoury, all day breakfast! Cheers all, Happy Easter Day, Peachy I did just read this, had no idea what a cock cage is.. googled it and OMG! I cannot be wearing such a thingy.. you see WHEN I get an erection it would tear my balls off! Imagine all the maidens crying over that now.. nope no good at all. Other than this fright I just had, it has been a good day, first time I wasn't totally exhausted during and after work, we had a barbecue today also and then on the way home I was treated to an awesome lightning show.. yes I took pics, as always ;)

I really enjoyed these nights of themed dinners and gaming nights! However, there seem to be very few social parties in Perth for the last year, at least in my circle of acquaintances! All the parties are at the usual venues, or for their own clique, which doesn’t include me of course! I like the social aspect or RHP where the idea is, like minded people find each other and network, so to speak! Of course, the answer is put one on myself! However, with my profile, that ain’t gunna happen! However, I don’t mind helping out someone who is giving one! I’m just a flat white in a takeaway cup kind of guy! M_D4 - Posted from rhpmobile

Aren't you the cagey one? It seems your blood pressure is holding up... It's okay, I'll release you from your travails, I am nothing if not considerate of potential permanent harm... maybe an elephant g-string then? I'm glad you had such a great day. I love how you value your experiences. We had a family day, I dragged out the old push button phones (cannot believe I let go of the dial phone) so grandy could prank call family members with questions about whether their fridge was running. They're handy for when the power goes off because we don't rely in mobiles. Apparently they're dangerous in electrical storms?! Have you met Vampavibe? I just introduced her to JD coffee after seeing it on Facebook yesterday. She ordered a double shot straight up! Bottoms up, Peachy

Well, the birds are chirping in that large tree in the town square, otherwise it's still rather quiet, oh, of course, Public Holiday, good of you to open foxxxy. Large freshly squeezed orange juice with a wedge of lemon on the side thanks. . Now, re my question on page one, turns out, yes, our planetary system is just called, The Solar System. Largely because we thought, for rather a long time, ours was the only sun and the stars were different. Now we know our sun is just another star and it's no longer the only system we know of with orbiting planets. However, general convention has it that they are planetary systems, or stellar systems, named after their star and as our star has the name The Sun, or Sol, from Solaris, our solar system is known as The Solar System. There is some debate over calling our sun, The Sun, bit like another pleonasm, The Moon. Maybe it should have a more definitive name, like Trevor or SS1 or something? Anyway, my brain is about to explode, time to watch the day unfold. Mr. urn. .

Ms Foxy MsFoxy, you are reminding me of fabulous times in Brisbane, hanging out with friends in West End, going to concerts at an old Theatre where I first saw Judy Small. Eccentric cafes are so inviting. Hmm, maybe its time I visited Brisbane again.

Hello Ruby, yes our solar system is part of the Milky Way galaxy. So far, over 500 solar systems have been found in our galaxy. Our galaxy contains about 300billion stars and there are at least 100billion galaxies in the observable universe. So there'll be a lot of other planetary systems out there. Those found so far, are named after their star, as I mentioned. Who knows, perhaps there is something out there that will pick up on all those rather weak television and radio signals emanating from our planet, however, they won't understand English, so I needn't worry that it should have been of greater gravitas. The best, clearest night sky I've seen would have been in Nhulunbuy( Gove ), when I worked there for a year.I remember looking at the tree line around the town at night, and it was as black as black. No grey from light pollution. Or, one time I camped for a night, just myself and my motorbike at the side of the Gibb road. It amazed me how clear the sky is. And how noisy the bush.

Not sure there is much to tell. Various sized glowing balls (Disks) on the horizons. They appeared to 'bob' along the horizon for as little we 5 mins to as long as an hour or come and go. I worked in Tenant Creek at the time and use to head over to QLD and back for R n R hitching lifts with truck drivers. Saw then a few times. Never felt anything bad about them. There is weird shit all through the outback. If you ever get the chance to go to Karagini or the Olgas ...... Go

Footrot Flats was a favourite Hawty. Peachy Oh yeagh.. loved the footrot flats when I was a kid.. also Garfield (If I was any lazier I would slip into a coma) and commando comics. Hope you feel better soon :) Sweetgem, hows the cookies? I am glad you are taking some time out. I never did get into Manga.. it's more my sons generation. How ever, there was a cartoon that was kind of a precursor to Manga, Space battleship Yamato. They have produced this also in a real movie. It is very good, I recommend it. Inspirit, I do believe the Aurora Australis is becoming more visible in the southern regions, well so I did read. Have you seen this? Vampa, I dont watch sport or sports shows on telly, I change the channel. I LOVE the Attenbro! Also other docos, I spent most of the day learning about how no one can explain some of the ancient buildings that have been made. Particularly how the stones have been vitrified, it is almost as if they were cut by lasers rather than being cut by primitive tools before our history say we even had metals.. a great mystery that. Also they did describe a method whereby sound could have been used in the process. General news.. tried to go prospecting, couldn't take two paths to get to where I wanted to be (No permit or the gate was locked) so tried to bush bash a bit... car overheated, let it cool and did a foot scout, had a think. Decided not to press on and had a great deal of trouble climbing a hill trying to get back the way I came.. wheels spinning on the rock, managed it by zig zagging the steering on the way up. Whew!! I have another plan to try get there again.. just waiting for payday (fuel money). No idea what is there but it looks like a lot of activity on google earth. I wish I had started prospecting years ago.. just too many places I want to explore. Need a partner in crime lol

I remember SB Yamato as Starblazers...the english dubbed version for the west. I thought it was one of the very best scifi cartoons of its day. Same with Robotech( which was originally made for the japanese market under the name of Super Dimensional Fortress Macross ), then got a cult following when it was westernized for the US. Love the Robotech mecha...the original plane/robot transformer. They havent made the toys/figures in over a decade because of licensing disputes between Japan and Hasbro the US toymaker, so theyre quite desirable. I pre ordered one of the coming new Veritech models a few months ago, and it should arrive soon. It'll be going straight to the top of the bookshelf. ☺

I think they're so the Commonwealth nations can still feel some sort of kinship, that the Commonwealth has some sort of meaning to it.I know that some of the events, like badminton and squash, are not Olympic events...so it's an opportunity for these sportspeople to shine on a bigger stage. Also, some of the less successful sporting nations athletes may not even qualify for the Olympics, so it's a chance to step out on a world stage again.

I am not a voter for the commonwealth. Perhaps because my background is Euro. I just see no need for them any more as the world embraces more diversity and hopefully less hierarchical thought. This is my view tho. There are world championships to for badminton and most sports. Personally I prefer to watch these than the sport in the Commonwealth games. If we become independent then we wont be a part of the commonwealth and Australia Day will hopefully be moved to a unity of independence day for all of us This all my opinion and view and please understand I am from a Euro background. I do like a good debate tho :-)

Yet I couldn't agree more with your statement inspirit. It does seem to me that they are holding on to something that is long gone. It is funny to me the commonwealth games having sports that are not in the olympics. No matter what if you are not interested in a particular sport you generally don't watch it. Oh and Kool I noticed you mentioned squash and Australia has probably the most successful sports person ever in Heather Mcay an incredible record in squash. She lost only two matches in her entire career (in 1960 and 1962), and was unbeaten in competitive squash matches from 1962 through to 1981

I don't think The Commonwealth of Nations is a bad thing. It's largely symbolic anyway...but it tries to promote the ideals that are admirable wherever one calls home.More than a quarter of the worlds population lives in the Commonwealth, and I see it as an attempt at a unity of ideas....of sorts. Friendship between nations needs to start somewhere...and a club that gets together every few years to play sports is better than being isolationist, I think.

While we did touch on the subject above. I would be opposed to secede from the british commonwealth on two grounds. 1. The shear cost of reprinting all paperwork and signage etc.2. I wouldn't trust the current bast**ds to write a constitution in the people's interests. They are far too corrupt on nearly every side at nearly every level. I would cite the benefits of having a governor general.. but as can be seen lately, that office seems to be a stooge for the current government so that point is moot. A further point I would make is what constitution model would we adopt, I look around the world. I would think America's seems like a good one at face value, but that country is a basket case with their gun laws, crap health system/education system and out of control capitalism that rides over health/environmental concerns/indigenous rights. Lets not mention the percentage of their budget that gets spent on the armed forces... peace loving nation my ass. So what to do, I do not know, but I am certain now is not the time.

...what does it really mean now days tho. From what I gather it was formed from the decolonisation of the British empire. Many of these countries were invaded by the British and subsequently colonised by them. It has me wondering as Pakistan is part of the commonwealth, why are they such a rogue country and with the atrocities in Rwanda how much did the mother country (Britain) help out, as I understand it is still in a state of murder and pillage. Quite ironic this "Commonwealth of nations" when it is the Americans that step in and generally take control. Maybe I have it all wrong........ Please feel free to let me know. Off track

This excerpt from a few years ago suggests why the club does have its uses in the real world.. "How can the Commonwealth be a coalition of nations with similar values if it includes Sri Lanka and other member states with poor records of human rights abuses? The charter is more of an aspirational document. The Commonwealth is really a diplomatic coalition.‘‘Canadians are being very brave going ahead of the mob,” Mr. Mayall said. However, “this is also a diplomatic association and so it raises the question, as in all such things, what good is done by, as it were, moral posturing when you can’t actually do anything?” Sri Lanka may not live by the ideals set out by the Commonwealth charter, but participation in the group might do more good than outright boycotts, the professor suggested. For its part, the Sri Lankan government in Colombo has suggested Canada is merely pandering to domestic audiences by taking such a stand. Sri Lanka’s minister of external affairs, Gamini Lakshman Peiris, has reportedly condemned Canada’s attempts to “politicize the Commonwealth.”Does that mean the Commonwealth is powerless? Unlike the United Nations, the Commonwealth does not possess any way to sanction misbehaving member states by force. However, Mr. Mayall said it can be a powerful diplomatic force.During a Commonwealth summit in Vancouver in the late ‘80s, for example, Australia and Canada joined with smaller nations to effectively gang up on British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s reluctance to place economic sanctions on Apartheid South Africa. “Thatcher, in Vancouver, found herself totally isolated for the first time from the old dominions,” he said. “That pincer movement worked quite effectively; Thatcher was able to bring more pressure to bear on the South African apartheid government to modify their position.” The weight of global opinion was turning against South Africa at that point, he said, but “the timing was important.” The Commonwealth’s structure also ensures that smaller states get a say in international politics and, Mr. Mayall added, Canada has been quite diligent in advocating for the needs of smaller nations. So, what does Canada get out of being a part of this, anyway? “You have to think reputationally,” Mr. Mayall said. “If you use the current international diplomatic jargon, you would say it’s a very good vehicle for soft power.”The Commonwealth gives Canada access and influence in diplomatic circles for a relatively small cost. The organization also allows Canada to chart a course independent of the United States, he added.National Post "

Why do we even need the Commonwealth of Nations when (Justifiable in that one sample of pressure on Thatcher) they have the "gang" mentality. Really, at the end of the day we have the United Nations which are far more formidable than The Commonwealth of Nations. It is a bit like our infrastructure - once a dirt track suited a horse and carriage, but then we become smarter and wiser, where by a dirt road and horse carriage become redundant. We move forward, we make changes, we accept. Bad analogy, but you get my drift. In my view we should just have the United Nations and work together towards peace.

However, I do believe in change and moving forward for our future generations. I am but one person who has their own view. As far as the games go........ I understand how much it does mean to athletes. However I still view them as an "elitist event" at a political level. That's all. It doesn't phase me if Australia or whom ever wins a race. I actually take my hat off and feel proud for that athletes achievements and the hard work they and their family have put in, The country they come from is quite irrelevant. Interestingly though I do get up and yell for the F1 or the WC Rugby or WC Soccer. Maybe I am a hypocritical. I just don't gel with the commonwealth games.

I haven't seen many Manga, nor do I own many printed copies of Manga. However, the ones I have watched are mainly about detective and horror, except for the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z ☺️ and the books I bought yesterday are the Kindaichi Case Files, a detective series that have been my latest favourite. - Posted from rhpmobile

When you can, do not miss The Book of Mormon, so funny, so wrong on so many levels, it was right I was crying and snorting at the same time. Best musical ever

Quoting 'Meander' A few pints of blueberry juice to start painting a 'Welcome Back Annie' banner to hang in the window? It's not like anyone has been ordering smoothies anyway. .

Returned to the reality with recharged energy 💪🏼 big change begins this week and it's a huge turning point for many things on many levels! But I'm excited about the change, as it gives me new hopes and makes me feel more alive 😛 I am never one to let Life takes control of my life, and have been showing it who's the boss! 😁 - Posted from rhpmobile

I just noticed I posted "Morman", instead of Mormon. Huge differance. 😂 I certinally don't need or want to see The book of Mormans at the moment. 😀

I am still having a chuckle over the look of dis-belief on his face. I think the only workout Daniel will have in Oz is at the gym.....

Been feeling under the weather with a flu type virus for a week now. I think the whisky in Irish coffee would help. I'm hoping so anyway. I'm certainly ready to have my energy back.

I didn't think today was ever going to end. It felt like someone had turned the clock back 2 hours... longest day EVA! It could have had something to do with the mountain of paperwork on my desk, and the never ending email ping pong I am being subjected to by some other people in the organisation. I am going to purchase a bulk buy of reading glasses for them as they continually ignore the answers I am giving them ... even when I type in red. Sigh. I decided having a roast beef rib eye on the bone, with a roasted vegetable & fetra salad.... and a few glasses of red wine 😎 will make everything alright again 😁

The past couple of weeks have been super busy for me at work. Today was no exception - but YAAY for a couple of big wins! I got an answer to a problem that went my way, which I totally did not expect. I’m so thrilled about it,I’ll be coasting on a high for the next few weeks I think.

ooops, my mistake, he is Canadian not American. I checked out his bio....apparently he is a Personal Trainer. Seems like he had a similar effect on the American version as well .
