I see what you are saying here, and I am all for self preservation, but... Your comments run parallel to the arguments some men make in their defence for rape 'she was asking for it being dressed like that' etc, women have a right to feel safe no matter where they are and what they are wearing or doing. I recently got a message from a woman that had no profile picture and very little information about what they were looking for. But I think a big problem is that I am usually a little shy and takes me a while to warm up to people and the situation.... so blokes sometimes don't even give a woman a chance they just bombard you. I just don't like it, but I don't want to be rude and say get lost. I have been with friends, both men and women, and I see how they and some people just throw themselves into a group situation and hardly need to talk to a person before bonking them........ and no matter how much I wish I could do that, it just isn't me. :( So how would you deal with it? Obviously I am not communicating very well..... so what should I do? I think next time I will say, oi you go stand 20 metres away and don't say a word. If I change my mind I will call you over.
