*waving* I would like to introduce myself. I am Meeka and I am an old timer and a regular pain in the arse for people of the forum. I just wanted to tell you that going to the events and meet & greet social nights is really the best way of meeting people. You will find the events in the events section of RHP. But yeah, I know you said you were shy so the next best thing to meeting people is contributing to the forums and hanging out in the chat rooms so you get to know people. Otherwise I think it is hard for genuine people to meet other genuine root rats! Hope you find lots of adventures!

We are newbies and we really enjoy reading the forums, it has become somewhat of a nightly ritual of late. We recently moved to Brisbane and signed up about a month ago, so far so good; we have made contact with a few people and are organising meets. We even made our first trip out to a swingers club and had an absolute ball. We noticed straight away that most profiles have an incredible lack of detail, not sure if people are trying to be mysterious or if they are just worried about being recognised? We opted to put as much detail as we could (maybe too much?) in order to save everyone some time. We don't really see the point in organising babysitters and prepping for a big night if the people that we are meeting aren't going to click with us personality wise. But anyway, I digress; Just wanted to say HEEEEEEEEELLLO Foxxxy, we love reading the forums, we've just been too nervous until now to really comment on things (you may regret encouraging us though, we tend to have a very dry sense of humour once we are comfortable). Don't take it to heart :) Try sending messages first to establish a communication path and see where that leads :)

Is there a sticky or normal thread that tells me what the acronyms stand for? I have worked out most of them but some make my head ache. I am new too and still trying to navigate and work out the netiquette, even though I am no virgin to forums - just to this one! I need to know should I update my profile to couple do you think, even if it is just me behind the screen doing all the leg work- so to speak? Or should I get hubby to create his own? Or should we have all three? hmmmm

I think it's a bit misleading when women have a singles profile but upon reading it you see that they have a partner and play as a couple. If you only play as a couple then the one profile is all you need, you would maybe have your own singles profiles if you also play separately.

say they give you 5 messages, you message one person and you can chat with that person for ever and that is one message than you can message the next etc. It means you can chat to 5 persons. You have to wait until that person answers you before you can write again.....it's a bit complicated lol.

Welcome. Maybe start by reading some of the forum posts in the newbie section. There are loads of people there who have asked for advice on profiles and messaging so by reading them it might give you some ideas. There are quite a few helpful posts in there to help you learn more about RHP.
