I think it is a problem that can happen with men and women, keeping just at just the friends with benefits level and not develop a deeper emotional attachment.

I agree with deltoid it does happen with both sexes and I guess its an emotional reaction. I can understand if something developes "together" but when you are honest enough to say "thats it" and they look for more it can actually become a bit scary. I spose if you can judge the personality of someone who can keep their heart and genitals in seperate places you would be way ahead lol. PD

i think their are a lot of lonely men on here and they'll say whatever they can just to meet, it is inevitable. Personally a friends with benefits is exactly what i want, i own a store and am far too busy to mess around with a full relationship, i'm not interested in the whole chase, all the bullshit that goes on just to get to bed, and then all the crap i have to put up with afterwards and the money i have to spend! Been there done that. It suits me much better to meet fuck like wild animals, then go back to my life with a 'thanks, seeya next time'.

they are all idiots? ok ok.. seriously now.... They are confused about exactly what they want. Far and few in between you meet guys that knows EXACTLY what they want, and they the ones ya keep. But then again, this applies to both sex. Its all about individuals. And also, the culture in which we live in. Times have changed so dramatically since the turn of the 20th century to the 21st. We have from stable family culture idealist, to the radical 50's daring.. to the hippy 60's free love.. to the 70's rocking relationship.. and swinging boom.. to the 80's rush rush to marriage.. to the 90's mass divorces.. and what that leave us in this century? Women that gain same rights and independence as men (Which is a good thing!) but since this is a new thing, we still learning the idea of adapting such culture. For the power is just a great feeling to you women.. and thus makes men difficult to find "mate" for either fun, or long term. Of course, with the age of Internet, thus causes the downward spiral of social behaviorism. In other words, the lack of charisma and confidence. It was a complete turnaround, so to speak. and thus leaving us men, unsure on how we place ourselves in this Brave New World, and only time, can help us work us all how we fit in and work around each other. And thus, the reason why MEN unable to define what they REALLY want, despite what they claimed they know what they want.. is the fact that.. Its damn hard to for them to get a female's attention.. or perhaps the lack of their efforts to get a girl's attention. Personally, i believe that the guys out there, have lost their plot after decades of utter confusion.... for they have lost the ancient art of courtship....

The night was sultry, the the air was musky. The moon hung high, shining upon what light reflected upon the forums. These are the days of summer. Where many citizens sit in delight, whilst others sit in miserable thoughts. There amongst the realm, sat a hermit. A wise man, with years of experience and knowledge, mouthing about his long stemmed pipe, pondering how to proceed to answer such message. THe owl hooted from afar, causing the Hermit to snap out of daydreaming and focus on the task. The car stirred on his lap, and continues to purr, bringing comfort to the hermit. He smiled as he scratches the cat's head and then picks up his Quill and parchment. Dipping the quill in the ink bottle, he already thought of the first sentence. Scratching away without a worry of how time passes, the hermit giggles as he writes. This is definitely the best letter I ever wrote, he thought. Perhaps the best in decades, since the one he replied to the virgin King of Fucktardia. Of which causes a few giggles amongst his friends alike. And established his popularity with his peers. He stopped writing and read what done so far. He likes what he written, and hoped the receiver does. In fact, he does not care whether the receiver likes it or not. Considering the truth will hit the nail so hard, that the world will know of it. So much, it will tremble the very walls of Fucktardia itself as well!! Folding the parchment, and placing it inside the envelope, he smiled that mischevios smile. One where one knows it all .. smile. He stamped the seal upon the wax and got up, forcing the cat to startle with fright and scurried away. The cat look back at him with a cursing look before walking away with an attitude. The Hermit walks top the letter box and post the letter. He whistled as he returned to the seat, relit the long stemmed pipe and smile in contempt. The content of the letter was a simple thing. Straight to the point, upfront and carries much weight as a two ton carriage. It didnt take up much effort on the hermits behalf to storm up such reply. For it was, indeed, a simple thing. So simple. A ssimple as a child can put the kettle on. Speaking of which, the hermit does feel like a good old fashing cup of tea. He whistles in delight and humourish mood as he enters the house to the kitchen, and puts the kettle on. "Dear Poo-Pee, because i can and you cant?" To be continued....

Without wishing to add insult to any injury kitty_kat....... I too am extremely upfront with what I want...which is the same as you......yet women to whom I send an appropriate message (and I've sent a message to you in the past!!!) completely reject me most times....... Go figure......us men are damned if we do and damned if we don't.....simple as............ ;-) M_S

I'm newly single after a 26 year marriage, the last thing I want is another one. I want to enjoy my new life without the constraints of a relationship. Been there done that! However that's not to say there is something wrong with relationships just not now.
