  There are a lot of us on this site that do not wish to be recognised by family, friends, neighbors and work collegues. By family I do not necessarily mean husband or wife. I live in a small community and hold a position of trust. I certainly do not need to be recognised by all and sundry. Then there was recently a security breach involving a popular family networking site. I am sure if you ask you will receive a face pic. I know mine are in my pg.

  totally agree with Fionas post.........for us face pics arnt shown until a meet is organised, that's what pvt galleries are for

  I completely understand the face pics thing, if need be, keep them in your pg. It's perfectly sensible to want to protect your identity particularly if you live in a small town.However, the one thing that had really annoyed me lately is the consistent and intentional use of old/grainy/blurry photos or photos which show people in a ridiculously good way. For god's sake, please, just show what you actually look like. Do you really think i'm not going to know the difference when I show up to meet you? Do you think I'm not going to notice the difference between the photo which shows you're a slim young woman and someone who's 5-10 years older and is now carrying a spare tyre? It's got nothing to do with age or size anything else for that matter, it's purely about honesty and i'm well and truly over it. My photos are recent, kept up to date, show me as I am so there's no surprises. I met a woman today for a drink and I could not leave fast enough. Her photos show her as someone who's clearly active and slim. In actuality, she was very very far from what her profile displayed and this was after talking for several weeks so there was ample time for her to dispel any myths. She then had the hide to be grumpy/annoyed that I left.

  try reading the 'face pics in pg's' forum..your answer is there...........its unreasonable to expect that face pics be shown publicly in a profile, but absolutely appropriate they be available in the persons 'private gallery'. it makes good common sense that we should wish to see who we are actually speaking with......

  Know what you mean. I guess Facebook members may well ask the corresponding enquiry..."Why are'nt there more Arse shots on here?"
