ladies, do you play sport?

March 17 2009

over the last month there have been a couple of significant women's world sporting titles. the 1st was the world rugby 7s. it is 7 person rugby for those that don't know. rugby's managing body decided to just have one carnival for the men and the women. it was in dubai and the australian women's teem won there title out of the 16 finalist nations. it was especially exciting as 2 perth women were in the team. the other is the women's cricket world cup. it's on now and i've been watching bits of this over lunch or while i'm slacking off. the standard is really very good. those who have pay tv and love watching women's sport should definitely check it out. occasionally you read a RHP profile and a woman will mention she plays sport or is active in some way. this got me thinking, post your sports here ladies. if you play sport or do a regular thing that is good and extended exercise add it too this post. LRE(of to cycle around the block)

Nothing turns my head faster than a woman jogging. So many women play sport and yet so few will admit to it here. Why? Does it have something to do with some primitive notion like women thinking men generally prefer women petite and demure and easy to dominate? Nothing maintains my interest longer than a woman who has her own sporting or at least physical interests. Sorry but the rest is just a suburban fling. Come on ladies. Who's special enough to stand out from the crowd?

yep .. well i think roller balding is sport.. it's exercise, it requires some learning and tecnique and if you choose you can be competitive about it (even if you are only competing with your self). i hauled into theater sports once some years ago.. very embarrassing and bloody funny. that's the last time i'll let somone be my arms.. LOL. and shy, what did you do to make your trainer cross? LRE(can do half a push up)

not unless you consider dancing a sport. if so, yes, 4 nights a week, for 3 hours a night, sometimes 7 times a week for 5 hours a day if we have a big performance coming up. i'm a reggaeton dancer (which is a fusion of latin/afro/dancehall/hip hop)

I don't consider dancing a sport Casava but I'm sure you're fitter and better looking than most of us given your routine! Phew!

I pole dance. And before you write that one off, it is hard work, takes many hours of training, builds outstanding muscle strength and is highly competitive. Pole dancing is probably more strenuous than any of the team sports and causes as many injuries. Worth redefining the term sports to include this one.

You're right. You CAN tell by the way sportswomen move. They seem to have this sense of belonging, a presence, strength. GRRR I love it
