I think you were LUCKY she left!!!!!!!!!! dont be put off feret, i too upgraded in order to liase with someone and although it did take some time to actually meet said person............it did eventuate and well.............havent looked back since!!! I guess some strike it lucky early in the proceedings and others it may take a while..........but dont give up...............you WILL find someone out there/on here that WILL want you for you. you sound like a nice genuine guy......and thats what matters. QT

There is always a positive and a negative to everything, depends how you look at it. Don’t give up.....use this experience as a learning curve; learn from it and move forwards cause the next lady might be the one for you......that in itself is worth it! Is sad that there are some inconsiderate people out there. I agree, is better she did leave early.......Don’t need people like that in your life. "CHRIST",,,, ferret ,,i would have been pretty gob-smacked,,,,I think that is appalling,,and a lot of us guy‘s know what your talking about,,and she wanted your bottle of wine,,,gee ,i would have said" fuck off mole get your own" or at least pulled a face at her behind her back,,but then again i‘m really quite horrible,,but don’t get downhearted because there are some real quality ladies on this site. The fact that you cooked her a meal in your home ,,tell‘s me that you are a trusting and a sincere person,,,maybe on the first meat,you could try neutral turf,,but i have found with this site,,if you are not after the old taxi waiting out the front,bend over baby,or looking for the love of your life,if indeed you are looking for something casual ,,but classy and respectful,then it can be difficult to navigate through this site. Try what i do ,,I don’t look for intimacy on here anymore,i just clown around and have fun,and iv‘e had some great funny banter with some really nice girl‘s on this site,and now i have more girl‘s talking to me,but i still get the odd ,GET LOST JERK" but that‘s ok ,,, i am a jerk,,,must have a sense of humour here ,,coz if ya can‘t laugh at shit ya get depressed,, ****good luck my fellow love crusader******* ,,,horrible,,,,

I think it is definitely possible to be too nice. We all need boundaries. And I think subconsciously people prefer people with good boundaries. When I get stomped on by someone, I take it as an opportunity to ask myself ’did I perhaps give too much?’ ;) When I feel disrespected by people, I often see in hindsight that I was trying too hard and they were subconsciously and understandably taking my generousity for granted.

Hey Ziperolli, I am am with Hagar here, violence isn’t acceptable and joking about it condones it. Its also against the law to assault someone. Ferret, sorry you had a bad experience. It is true that sometimes you win and sometimes you don’t. I agree that meeting somewhere other than your own home first meeting is safer practice and also Mammals right about having boundaries. Hey Zipperolli, If I am sensitive about violence against women its because I have spent twenty years working in the human service sector and some of that time working with victims of domestic violence, abused children and victims of rape. Why didn’t you just say "stand up for yourself man" in the first place. We wouldn’t have jumped on you for that. Language is a very powerful tool and wielded wisely can create a more caring society.
