Wine tour- RHPcountry

March 08 2019

Has anyone ever been on a weekend away organised with other couples to go on a wine tasting tour? We are thinking of organising a weekend away in the hunter valley then Mudgee to taste some local wines followed by dinner. Mainly because we love wine social events! The hunter has some amazing wineries. Has anyone done this before? - Posted from rhpmobile

Fantastic way to socialise.Ive only done it with partners etc, and mainly stayed around the Pokolbin area. Great wineries and accomodation there.Could never afford "The Convent", but Carriages, and Kirkton/Kirkwood/Kirk something were nice. Some even do you a picnic hamper to take away for lunch.Grab a mini bus, grab some friends and do it

Maybe ask FredandGinger. I think they have done the wine thing in Melbourne. I have thought about doing that type of weekend up here but too be honest l don't know a lot about wines lol.

We organised a weekend away with a wine tour back in 2014. 10 couples, big house, arrived Friday night, drinks and nibblies, next day breakfast then on a bus dropping in on six wineries plus a great cafe for lunch, back to the house for dinner and more fun. Was a great weekend meeting new people and making friendships that still exist today. Takes a bit of planning but well worth it.

Great idea. Know the Hunter very well, having come from there, and also familiar with Mudgee. Happy to help organise, nice to do them in winter.

Yes we organized one up in the hunter a year or so ago,had fun and booked out a couple of Villa's on a golf resort,we had a day in a mini bus doing a wine tour,a full on blast was had by all, then that night if any wanted fun, they had fun or we sat around and ate food and talked,it definitely is a good thing. We are organizing a weekend on the central coast this year and will do the same again.

jenniecruising's Wine, Dine & 69 weekend away was our first foray into group play, leaving us with grins from ear to ear for weeks afterwards. Their event was our inspiration and motivation to begin our FlirtParties event organising.
