I've been in grey ghost land for a couple of weeks, and I must say it is very peaceful here. No annoying "wanna fuck" messages, self imposed exile from the fora (other than some likes here and there), letting the last few weeks of bickering just slide on by. Give it a try Jay, it might just be the ticket to restore your enjoyment of this place.

If you feel you need to move on, fair enough, the suggestion kissk had to take a break is a good one too, bit of a breather, but either way, anytime you want to pop back in and grace us with your happy and honest banter, I for one will be very happy to see you. There's no-one else who still calls triple jump 'hop skip and jump' haha 😁😁 where will I be without you 😢😢😢

Happy new year. Sad to see you go. we had our banter, mainly fun and cheeky. I just got back from holidays and took 2 weeks off rhp/forums. I would occasionally peek and throw a 'like' here and there when I see my friends comment on something, but not really inspired to post a comment with what I have read. The forum has been lacking on quality lately hence just bored with the mindless drivel on some topics. The time off RHP has left me recharged and refreshed to tackle new load of work and new challenges tomorrow. so take timeoff from rhp and the forum. It is just forum fatigue. You'll be back sooner than you think. But if you are to leave, I wish you best of luck buddy. Cheers.

see this place as some kind of competition??? I see statements like "falling onto my sword" and "I've made enemies" and think, wtf is this?? Some kind of survival rhp competition that you're vying for a $10,000 prize ?? Having opinions, doesn't equate to bad behaviour... Sledging type of banter, aren't personal attacks.... Discussion isn't bullying...... Peoples egos are what make people leave, fuck, I'm an expert on that....every time I have left, it's been a perception that has done my head in....not anything that people have said or haven't said.... We started off on a rocky road but that was my doing. Once I got my head out of my arse and realised my own self importance wasnt making the world turn, I could then appriciate your imput. Personalising every individual opinion is a form of displacement. Thats just transfering your anger/frustration from something in your life and aiming it at someone who didnt cause the stress....and people you dont even know!! Very cruel.. It is a narcissistic trait and gives a sense of your own importance, that need for attention and entitlement. Having no care for the feelings of others on here. I saw myself trying to prove my point of other people being mean, was by being mean back. I dont do that in real life, so why would I do it here? Anyway, once I saw it in myself, I didnt like it and changed my perspective on many things. So Jay, sometimes we need to withdraw. And thats part of our journey. On to more productive things in our life.Geez its only a forum, not a dictatorship.So from one Dragons supporter to another.. Go the mighty Dragons in 2016 🏉🏆

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head....I like the forums because you can voice your opinion, have a laugh, learn something new and even change your way of thinking. There shouldnt be "enemy making" involved....its all about the discussions, not individuals. Lately it seems to be that its all being taken too seriously.

I've always enjoyed your forum posts. I'm hoping you won't deactivate your account and pop back in here if you miss us. It's unfortunate that some nastiness has reared it's head in your thread. I honestly couldn't see anything in Lily's post to have triggered someone to fire up, but I'm guessing a nerve was struck somewhere in there. Lily, thank you! I had no idea how to get the paragraph breaks in there so hoping it works here! Much like Lily, I've gotten very busy with life and work and during these hectic times, I tend to be missing in action here, but I always return. Some forumites are just too good to stay away from for very long.

so, I made a post suggesting that if Jay leaves the forum that he should just take a break from logging in rather than doing anything drastic to his profile and suffering the pain of needing to create a new one in a few weeks time. Apparently that was just too sensational, but I don't, so I'm posting it again in accordance with official advice. Wonder if it sticks around this time.

Predictably and as expected , only a few with anti Jay setiments , but for the most ' the majority of posts have been more positive than I ever expected.. I've received messages from ppl I was not even unaware of who sent some really positive and encouraging messages both here and privately and for that I thank you... Can't fail to mention the long time regulars who personally messaged me .. That was very important to me because you were part of my cyber life for such a long time... You know who you are... I will miss you... To those who are so so concerned with the ' falling on my sword ' comment ... Stop worrying about it.. It was just a figure of speech.. lol... Maybe I should have said falling on my rubber ducky... or my king size mattress then Touch can jump me..lol. Lastly , please ladies , you are all beautiful in your own way and all have something special about who you are ' and what you think... That's just my experience......from my own self reflection. - Posted from rhpmobile G`day, I understand the points that you have made, my views.On the competition side of things, that is human nature and the belief behind any individual view held is correct or it would not be held (each to there own is my view).As for sledging, opinions, banter, bulling and so on, all exist and have a hard to define line to cross from one to another in my view. The motivations behind comments I find generally shows through especially if challenged.I have been posting/blogging on behalf of a crowdsourcing project for 2.5 years now that has grown into the worlds largest crowd sourced project (prowd of that), with a community well over 10,000 from every country globally. I have learnt a lot in that time and been bagged out in more languages (thanks goggle translator !) than I can count when I say the wrong thing or continue misdirected discussions, and would lose my position if continued. That is a far different situation dealing with competing interests and the worst of all the "climate change sceptics". But I find the same basic patterns on RHP forums as I do there. If a journalist wants to write a critical article on the project (and there are plenty) it will contain paraphrasing from my comments, any past sceptic view (paraphrasing again), generally based on a lot of dribble with little fact and supported by many(and not worth stressing over). But rarely direct words as can happen at times in RHP forums(or Facebook) would be the main difference. It takes a thick skin to post against popular views, and a thicker skin to hold your ground with continuous views, but that is an essential part of humanity. I find that focusing on the motivations behind posts gives some understanding, and if someone is different try to understand why so as to not miss the point of view, if empathy is require then do so without comment and move on(not worth comment you won`t change them). But if the view has validity then acknowledge it. If anyone has the spare $400-$1000 to go to the Pause fest in Melbourne next month there is a presentation called "Zen in the digital Realm" focusing on healthy communication in the digital world (Available late feb on podcast).On a different topic "it`s not butter !" put margarine on an ants nest and they won`t eat it, but they love butter. Cattle love corn but wont eat GM corn if starving. Now we have synthetic honey as 75% of our imported honey, I bet it won`t catch flies !
