Swingers Documentary

February 18 2010

I am a film maker currently trying to put together a documentary about swinging in WA.  We have had some difficulty finding people willing to appear on film.  We need subjects in or near Perth who are willing to be interviewed.  For those who are concerned about privacy we have the facilities to mosaic (disguise) faces, and to alter voices to make them unrecognisable.  We would also like the opportunity to film at a private party.Historically most documentaries focused on "the lifestyle" have been negatively biased.  With this film we intend to take a more balanced approach to the subject.  A part of the focus will be on the various philosophies of swinging, and on the unique approach swingers take towards communication within their primary relationship.  Since beginning the documentary my girlfriend and I have taken the opportunity to experiment a little ourselves, and have found it necessary to adopt a more open level of communication with each other than what is common in most monogamous relationships (at least in my experience).  As communication is one of the key factors in a lasting marriage, do couples who successfully navigate swinging together, have a higher likelihood of marital success?  This is one of many topics we hope to tackle in this feature length documentary. If you are interested in assisting please feel free to contact me via email or PM.
