Safe sex....

September 07 2007

sex

Hi, I am amazed to find how few people actually practice safe sex.... they all seem to tick the right boxes on their profile but don't walk the talk. So I did a bit of research and discovered that ther are over 100 STDs out there and one of the most common is Chlamidia wich doesn't always show symptoms so you can have it and not know, also if you have chlamidia you are 5 times more likely to contract HIV, then there's HPV which causes cervical cancer in women ... But the scariest thing I read was that all of these STDs can be contracted through Oral sex... The risk is always there but you can minimise them by wearing condoms for penetration and NOT brushing your teeth for 2hrs before and after sex, as it's bleeding gums and toothbrush abrasions that that put you at risk. you can never be 100% safe but 1 condom can save YOUR life ... is that too much to ask. Would like to hear others opinions on this subject :)) Johnny Reble ( not paranoid but like to know what risk i'm taking )

I used to be fairly careless about practising safe sex then I dated a guy who was screwing around and suddenly I got concerned about who he was sleeping with and who they were sleeping with and if he didn;t practice safe sex with me was he not practicing it with other women unless they insisted. I am now committed totally to safe sex and have refeused sex a number of times because neither of us had the play equipment. Remember people: NO BALLOON: NO PARTY cHEERS wILD

We havent been with many couples but safe sex is the top most priority to us, even though we have had a guy from a couple try to persuade us that its not necessary and he knows when to pull out at the exact moment and he never wears one blah blah blah.Hmm, hence we didnt go there, not worth it with an attitude like that.

Hi, we once met a cple like that... and they made US feel like lepers cos we instited on condoms .. saying things like " ok if you must but you put it on then" .. nah .. bye bye.... if they don't wanna use condoms fine .. their choice but why tick the box that says " yes for all activities" ...??? :) Johnny Reble

I agree dont tick the box if it is not true. I say TARP UP! ffs people. We dont have polio anymore cause we give kids vaccine, lets see if we can get rid of STD's and AIDS. If you dont want to wear one that is your business but be truthful in your profile.

We're still haering stories of people who are totally ignorant of the risks they are taking... It's time to wise up .. if not for yourself at least think of the others you come into contact with. :)) Johnny Reble

Rebles, It amazes me too. and some guys I have met expect sex but don't even have condoms with them. There is a post on the Victorian Forum by Kissable Lips that promotes the safe sex message too. When are we all gonna wise up and remember NO BAlloon No Party. Thanks for keeping the issue alive. Cheers Wild
