I have written a number of poetry about child abuse, suicide, peoples intentions, group therapies, and racism.......but never thought they'd be appreciated here cause it's not about sex and thought there would be plenty who would complain and grumble about them, plus some of my poems are very personal to me as well..... Sweet And Sexygypsy, it was your poetry that helped me to see that this site wasn't just about sex. The people who gather here are like me. People active in their lives. People who are passionate. Some who are artists and poets and storytellers. Some who are political. Some who recognise the links between the physical, emotional, spiritual and sexual and therefore seek deep communion with others. People alive and open to possibilties. People who are strong, people who are vulnerable. People open and honest. Gypsy, I reckon you are someone who truly knows the personal is political. I would love to read more of your poetry. Sounds very much like Midnight Oil. And they were successful. I myself is a muso. of a sort. And I create Vangelis style.. where I incorperate human feelings of any subject into each song. Sometimes I describe "nature" such as oceans.. But i never created one with a political subject in mind. I merely created songs that I hoped to bring listeners into the world of vivid imagination.. I am not sure if I am successful.. anyways, as muso to another muso.. I wish you all the success and look forwar to your progress.. Spartanis

Here's a couple of my poems, I am very hesitant to be putting them up in here and am feeling very vulnerable right now...... Surviver If you listen with your eyes, You can hear a child's secret cries; If you look with your heart, You can see a child's trust torn apart. These things you hear and see, Is a child living in secrecy. The bad man comes night after night, To strip the child of all their rights. They feel they are the ones to blame, For all their guilt and their shame; Every night they weep bitter tears, No-one else in the house can hear. They have survived this traumatic fight, And have won back all their rights; But the pain will linger on, At least they know they weren't wrong. You to can be strong and survive, It is hard, but you have to try; Because if you don't and give in, The bad man that caused the pain - will win! By Gypsy xx Death Of A Soul As the shadows creep into my heart, The more my soul falls apart; Each time my soul slowly dies, Screaming sad and lonely cries. Tears of pain stream down my face, Hopelessly searching to find somewhere safe. Unable to find self-acceptance within me, Wishing the darkness of these shadows will set my soul free. Some of you know that I am a perfromance artist, doing storytelling and singing. Much of what I do is political commentary though not necessarily party politics. Its more issues based. I have just got a cam (not connected yet) and if people are interested, I am going to organise a time to do a performance via cam. The performance will include political songs and poetry. Yours in co-creating a lighter world. Wild x x

Wild there nice poems but sad life has to be like that for so many,ill show julz when she get home as she will relate as she works for a dept trying to stop and help these people out. if she wants and its alright with you can she show your poems to the people at work? Den

Thanks for your comments Den. You'll need to check with VilaGypsy whether its okay to share her poems. Hers are the ones about social issues. I hope she says yes as they are very powerful and healing. Cheers Wild

hey guys i have had the plesure to meet mammalian and meeting him lead me to the conclusion that yes he is a very deep soul thats been here b4 that i dont dout he is a loverly person and i think people with near sightedness would not understand him but those open to new and wonderful experiances would find him nothing but pleasurable. let me know wen you are back in town hun and lunch is on me well not on me on me but my shout :) starrxx

I am glad to see you back. I have finally set up my cam and have been practising singing into it so I am going to be online in the chat rooms occasionally sharing my music with whoever wants to listen. Given there will be an election this year I feel compelled to share my songs of the political failure of the two major parties. And my support of the Greens is reflected in my little banjo number "Vote for Green". I think Starr was just agreeing with my comment about you being alternative. I don't mind u showing my poems, I had originally written them to get my own pain out many years ago with the hope they would help other lost souls trapped in their inner suffering and torment; letting them know that how they feel is normal and they are not alone. If my poems help just one person then they have achieved what they were created for. All the best and take care. XX Gypsy XX

Good for you! I'm inspired by the groundswell happening at the moment. A friend noted this morning that great poetry was stimulated by the world wars. I think this is what's happening now; great adversity is bringing out the very best in people. I hope to have a paid membership again soon so I can sit back, watch and listen, with a fire going and a little port or something. :P
