Philippines Fun

We are going to be in the Philippines for the month of December and i to January. Is there an app similar to RHP that is good for there? Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to meet up with like-minded people there? We are traveling to numerous islands, so hopefully lots of opportunities to meet up with people.
