More upmarket events?

Looking for recommendations for a more upmarket event that isn't necessarily a play meeting. We've enjoyed going to MINX meet and greet drinks in the past but were thinking of heading to some days at the spring racing carnival this year and thought it would be a great day out if there was a few other couples there, mingling and enjoying the atmosphere. Does anyone know if anything like this exists in Victoria?
