Whopper 😎 Jokes aside, that is my go to burger love love love my whopper 😀 I sometimes get Maccas early morning and like the gourmet tomato relish brekkie burger nom nom 😛 I also head straight for maccas when I'm dehydrated for a $1 frozen drink, it brings my body back to life, like pulling into a servo to fuel up lol

hamburger - cheap and simple; tasty; stays hot the whole time you're eating it and unlike a giant gourmet burger there isn't much of a commitment in getting it; you can easily have multiples at a time, and if you don't finish - who cares, you can easily get another when you want it.

Yeah I know what you mean. I've always had a special fondness for junk food 😊 I contain it now or out-race it with exercise, then I eat what I like, obviously balance that with healthy stuff, but I'm the same, just love it. It's not just a burger, it's a lifestyle lol 😉

I don't go out for burgers or junk food after sex. I'd rather spoon or catch up on sleep. Then go again if we're both feeling it. Don't like junk food if I can help it as I'd rather make a lovely filling fritata or omelette for me and my lovers.

Quarter pounder. Superior consistency. Last thing i want after sex is to try and eat a burger that appears to be trying to escape. I've found getting a whopper without the tomato improves its structural integrity, but then it doesn't taste right. And its still highly likely to turn into 2 slices of bread with a meat salad on the side. I'd actually rather a sausage and egg mcmuffin with a hash brown inserted into it, but that's not technically a burger.

I think i should point out a few things. Neither maccas or hjs is allowed to use anything in their products that comes from overseas if it can be purchased here already. So what is true of maccas america or burger king america is not true over here. Both source thier buns from tiptop and are the same burger buns you can buy in your local supermarket, albeit in much smaller quantities. Both get their meat in 70/30 ground chuck from a place called Sydney Meat Company. The hooves and ears and stuff go into very cheap bulk buy sausages at your local supermarket and neither maccas or hjs have anything to do with that. All the cheeses and condiments come from kraft. The salad i'm not as sure about its origins, but its got to be local considering how fast the lettuce goes off. Same with the eggs, which are fresh eggs cooked on premises unlike subway which are pre cooked and deliverd to stores to be reheated. Tomatoes are cut fresh on premises in one of the most dangerous guillotine like devices i've ever seen in the food industry. The chicken in mcchicken and nuggets for both companies are pressed out of breast fillets, but they are not reconstituted like chiken loaf from your supermarket is, they are just cutouts like a cookie cutter... the leftovers to my knowledge is probably where chicken loaf comes from. Maccas used to make burgers ahead of time and attempt to pre-empt demand, but in the last few years have shifted to only cooking the meat ahead of time. Both companies cook their meat ahead of time and then store it in a warmer until used, with limits on how long that can be stored around 20ish minutes. Maccas uses the clam grill which is two flat hot plates that meet like a waffle iron, while hjs uses a conveyor belt that passes the meat between gas burners. Hj's microwaves the meat, bun, cheese and condiments for a bit before adding salads. Maccas doesn't use microwaves. Both toast the buns lightly using flat heat plate toasters, but some burgers (mostly chicken or fish) are actually steamed rather than toasted. Neither company is that bad in australia due to strict laws governing minimal standards. So don't give our true blue aussie versions such a hard time. This is not america where "100% American Beef" is the name of the company as opposed to the content of the meat patty.

oops... forgot a few things. Yes the buns contain crap loads of sugar, but again they sell pretty good at woolies and coles too so people cant be that upset about the sugar content. And while the meat is ground chuck it does come in preformed patties in 10th of a pound (cheeseburger or big mac, bacon deluxe) and quarter of a pound (quarter pounder and whopper) sizes.

and not at 3 am in the morning on the way home from a fun night out ,give me a simple home made burger , with a home made pattie any day of the week, my fave rough recipe for a meat pattie is a beef and pork mix ,add an egg, some rolled oats ,,grated carrot,lemon zest,and and slap of french mustard ,salt and pepper to your liking ,for a alternative option ,a tin of tuna squish the water out , add in some rolled oats and egg,a small can of cream corn and tartare sauce ,add some bread crumbs till the texture is firmish and you can form a good pattie,you must be gentle cooking these or they fall apart ,so flip once these dont need long cooking , just to get some grill marks ,and cook the egg and oats so it stays together ,

Excellent post, thank you. I was aware of HJ's using the broiler I think they call it, it's gross, the smell is vile, and awful for staff to clean. Maccas grill the burgers. But I wasn't aware they cut from chicken breast for nuggets? I haven't eaten chicken nuggets in years, couldn't remember the last time I did, maybe 8-10 years ago, because the unknown with what's in them, the supermarket variety, that thought makes me feel physically sick. But I crumb my own chicken pieces, larger pieces, cook so they're just bit crunchy on the outside, but the chicken remains juicy on the inside, yum. Really impressed that our regulations are in place, or quality control 👍 thank you for enlightening us, me certainly, I won't be so afraid of nuggets now, not from there anyway 😉

I try to : - Carbo load a little prior to a play date... just in case it becomes a marathon session. - Give yourself sufficient time for digestion, because regurgitation ain't cool! LOL! - Avoid foods that contribute to erm... noxious odours and foul tastes. Food that cause gas emissions from either end... not good! :P - Snack like Tweety Bird, break fast like Hungry Hippo... kinda! That's my style. No hard and fast rules because improvisation happens sometimes. :D

Garlic is not great normally, I avoid it big time, not because I don't like it but well you know 😉 but I think you have a point re canceling out if both have it. Exactly the case with smoking. Most of the guys I've met have been non smokers, so I spend time preparing properly leading up to a meet to remove odour from clothing, myself lol and don't smoke for a long period usually before I meet them, but the first time I actually had a smoke with a guy in between rounds 😀 when we kissed again, I couldn't taste or smell it at all. Very different story if I haven't been smoking and a guy turns up having just had one in the car, happened once and it wasn't pleasant. Interesting that cancelling out thing. Haven't tried it with garlic, my body reacts with garlic, two days later, I still can't get rid of the after effects of it. Love the smell of garlic cooking though. I sometimes walk past restaurants just so I can smell it 😊

I once ordered 2 HJ's bacon deluxe burgers, I was starving after a weekend of shenanigans lol Well those little suckers are packed with flavour, also packed with double everything/fat/whatever. First one hit the spot, didn't hit the sides, struggled through the second, was up for the challenge, didn't quite make it and felt very uncomfortable to put it mildly 😧 Never tried that again 😊

Do the other states have ABs. I was told it was invented by either the Red or Blue cafe. I dont really get what the deal is with 2 cafes right next to each other both claiming to have invented something. Sounds like a gimmick to me. I do get why they renamed it AB as abortion is pretty unmarketable especially as a food item. And now you're not considered a true fish and chip shop unless you have it on the menu. While again not exactly a burger it has the advantage of being able to be picked at all night so it fills a similar role to orange slices at half time. Also you can make sandwiches with it in the morning. I just had the cheeseburger fries a few hours ago for the first time. Not bad. Next time i'll try half the sachet though, the whole one was a bit much. Umami overload. @PurePeony: Actually my psoriasis has continued to worsen slowly, but interestingly this has made me eligible for medications i wasn't before because it wasn't yet bad enough.I start new treatments in july, cos i wanted to get my exams out of the way.

It occurred to me i never mentioned what the hell it was for the uninitiated. An AB is yiros meat, chicken and lamb, over the top of hot chips with garlic sauce and sweet chilli. Like chips, in places that do a good AB they come in dollar amounts rather than a single size. So you can get 10 dollars worth for 2 people or 20 dollars worth for 2 drunk people etc.

In Radelaide AB is the same thing you are talking about. Yiros meat chips... Here in WA they call it kebab meat. Best one is in O'Connelly street. Late night and you can always add more stuff.
