But try this, Tape all the cracks, blanket the windows etc until the room is pitch black, so you can't see fucking anything. Then undress each other and explore, really good fun. Let your eyes adjust for awhile just for fun and you'll find your others senses ramp up, its a wild way to fuck when you can only smell touch and hear.

Agreed, ladies! I love candlelight and during the colder months, my lovely votives, tealight holders, etc all come out to play. Champagnesunsets, agree about the mirrored wardrobe. It's akin to watching yourself starring in your very own porn. Very titillating!

When I started out on RHP, I would pull the blinds and only played in the dark, but for different reasons to yours, OP. I had huge body image issues and very low self-esteem at the time. That was a long time ago and I will never look back. I am all for the full exposure now. I love getting my gear off at the nudie beach, I don't care who's watching. (Poor souls! Lol) Sex in full natural light is my preference unless it's at nights, then just to the soft light of the TV or the flickering light from the heater in winter. I like to see the hunger in his eyes and the wicked grin on his face, all the curves of his face and body next to mine. Good on you for mentioning the Himalayan Salt Lamp! It does cast a very muted and soft light. I have an eeny meeny one with an LED multi-colour bulb at the bedside.. I love to watch the colours changing. Very mesmerising. Oops...very distracting too! Makes one forget about sex! LOL!

Big fan of natural lighting & candles. Certainly enjoy dimming my room during the day with Roller shutters and just allowing enough sunlight to peak through the shades.sexy look. 😈 Luv massage candles with some scented candles in the background. Do they still exist? Are they still being sold? They are fascinating to watch but they can be a bit... kitsch. :P I think lava lamps should come with sound effects that you can choose to mute. Maybe a "Bloop! Bloop!" sound whenever one bubble is formed and released. Maybe they should have options too - "Bloop!" / "Burp!" / "Fa*t!" / "Boing!" ... =D

For it to be light during the day is cool... not going to try to make it dark.... at night in front of the fire, the salt lams are good.... but I love tea light candles (especially in the salt lamps) for enough light to enjoy and see, but not be harsh, that the fades out and allows you to sleep naturally when spent at the end without having to get up and switch lights off.... I actually put a ta light in the bathroom, toilet and kitchen on a night where play is on the cards just so that artificial electric lights don have to be turned on. Have some solar lights just outside the bedroom that light the bedroom just enough.. and eventually fade out during the early ours of the morning... that is effective. Too much light destroys the mood for me! But if we wake up at night... not gonna switch the light on!

I like soft, indirect lighting. Nothing worse than being on your back with the ceiling light blazing in your eyes. Dark or light doesn't really bother me, I have pretty good night sight, so once I adjust I get my visual stimulation. Foreplay is better being tactile anyway. - Posted from rhpmobile

'lights on, lights off ' 😛 Fan of mood lighting. Soft light although I like playing in the middle of the night when the mood suits both of us or early in the morning where lighting is soft and bodies are coiled together in pleasurable slump. But definitely soft mood lighting. it is softer on our silhouettes and hides some of our imperfections, usually after a good buffet dinner 😜

On a special occasion when there's going to be fireworks, a lovely, luxurious hotel room with a view shall be booked and the curtains in the room thrown wide open so that we can view the fireworks in comfort... and then maybe there'll be some other fiery, sizzling activities happening in the suite. A spontaneous combustion of sorts, shall we say? Or maybe the thrusts could be timed to coordinate with the fireworks. The explosive boom will be sure to drown out any moans / yowling / screams. Peony, yep still available. If you go to some lighting shops n furniture places along church Rd Richmond, you will find them. Also available in Ikea. I believe. I saw them there last year. try eBay and Gumtree. Got one for my boy for his room a fee years back. He loves it. Yep definitely mesmerising. 😍😵

I like to be able to see everything about my partner while we fuck, but I agree it's best with the lighting more on the "mood" end of the spectrum. That said, when cooking dinner or lounging about reading or trying on clothes in a change room somewhere suddenly segues into impromptu passion, I'm not going to waste time dimming the lights... 😌

... won't really fit into my decor. I'm starting a long and very very painful process of revamping my apt and just packing stuff up to go into storage is a huge nightmare, esp when I factor in energy-sapping work. Hmm... a huge, cylindrical floor-to-ceiling lava lamp would be uber kewl! Esp if the blurb-blurb bubbles are a light aqua tint, the colour of clear seas. I wonder what my cat would think of it though. He'd probably be very busy trying to swat the bubbles. LOL!!!

I'm all for mixing it up.
