Kitchen Wizzzzz...

sex

Hi all :)   I bought myself a tagine a few weeks ago. For those who don't know what one is - no you can't have sex with it... well it's not recommended by the manufacturer anyway. It's actually a cooking vessel used by the Moroccans. It's awesome and has turned me into a superstar! haha. I can make this wicked fish dish and a really nice chicken one... I'm gonna have a try at a few more too.   One of my fav ways to spoil a special lady is to arrive at her home (or just at my place... either or) with some fresh, healthy ingredients and some wine, and cook us dinner. It makes for a really fun, relaxed night and it's something you can do together while enjoying a drink and some music. So much more intimate than going out I think. I love it!   So yeah... my new tagine and I have two new “secret weapon” dishes that we can’t wait to unleash... haha... :P   What I want to know is...   Does anyone else find food as sexy as I do?   If so, what are your secret weapon dishes?  What do you cook when you're aiming to really impress a new man or lady in your life? Or even just to looking to spoil your existing partner for the night...   Maybe you have some little games you play with dessert?? Always up for sexy new ideas... haha.

Ridge you are so romantic! You can cook for Jean and I on our road trip, ok? We'll need our proteins ... and of course lots of beef to go with our beef! hehe.   I love cooking and I cook all our family meals. My wife can burn water.... seriously.. she melted a stainless steel pot once... *sigh* ... but I'm thankful that love is hard to fault.   I've got a great oven with a temperature probe... all you need to do is stick the probe into your meat and set the cooked temperature of the food you are preparing and power it all up! Woooohooo! lol... sounds like fun eh? The oven switches off when it is ready. I get perfect baked dinners everytime... so Leg of lamb.. whatever is easy, and it means I can be concentrating on other things while dinner is being prepared.     Hugs Stalky

Quoting 'stalky' Ridge you are so romantic! You can cook for Jean and I on our road trip, ok? We'll need our proteins ... and of course lots of beef to go with our beef! hehe.   Hugs Stalky Now we know where you disappeared to Ridge - the kitchen.  I concur with Stalky and nominate you head chef, we should lash out on a novelty apron too - for the trip though, whatever you can do with your tamborine, you'll have to translate to a Weber.  But I have absolute faith in your abilities.   PS - To answer your question.. I do a mean chicken, spinach and ricotta lasagne.  But it's too tasty, so you always eat too much of it... then your stuffed and can't move.  Not much good if you're looking for sexy times.    For dessert I recommend Aunt Betties Chocolate & Hazelnut puddings with cream.  They're microwavable but look fancy, which is important in a dessert... by that time of evening you want something quick, so you can eat, club partner over head and drag her back to cave for passionate love-making.  Something like a souffle would put a big spanner in the cogs of that sort of love. PS - Roughfuckr - I love my crepes too.  With Nutella

food is definitely one of those things that can bring people together..  my family being so multicultural means that over the years ive learnt a lot of dishes from france, spain and the philippines - so it is definitely an advantage. i know my friends always come to mine to have dinner - sometimes it feels like they're my kids (god - is that wrong?!?!)...plus, i find a guy that knows how to cook such a turn on - seeing them in the kitchen is HOT! plus i find that guys that can cook have more sharpened senses! my secret weapon? well, i do have a tangine but my secret is leche flan (similar to a creme brulee) and a creamy Mille-feuille for dessert or a warm buttery brioche for breakfast! i think breakfast and dessert doesn't receive the praises that it should! lol....

I think I have that chicken recipe too. Is it the one with the orange couscous? I wanna give it a go. The veges would come out so well roasting in the tagine with the chicken and all the herbs and spices...   How good is Moroccan!! Like you said - fresh, healthy, aromatic, tasty, SO easy and extremely SEXY!       PS... I loove crepes to Roughfkr. They are the best brekkie food you can get!! Banana and strawberry with a bit of honey (and a little bit of chocolate sauce)... Sooo good.

Sounds pretty flash.   Jean... Stock up on your Aunt Betty's Chocolate and Hazelnut puddings. How'd you go with Ruddy and the govt funding?

There's plenty of skill involved. Selecting the right internal temperature so the meat is perfect takes much practice. Making the baked vegetables so that they are slightly crunchy on the outside  and soft as butter on the inside also takes skills... hehe.   HUgs Stalky   Quoting 'kjandnev' Woa with the oven.....thats just wrong..on so many levels......mann....what happened to the skill  !! Dessert - Strawberries marinated in cointreau and sugar, served with whipped cream and warm chocolate sauce.   For the couples: Entree - Devils on horseback (or is it angels on horseback...) Main - Cheese fondue with assorted meats and crispy roasted veg. Desert - Chocolate fondue with fresh crispy fruit, or a soft fruit platter with chocolate dipped strawberries.

Majere is clearly a man who loves his food. Strawberries marinated in cointreau.... cheese fondue. Fondue? Man, I haven't been to a fondue party since the early 1980's. Brilliant. I did something similar to that a couple of years ago in a chinese hot pot shop... but no cheese or chocolate.   Hugs Stalky

Wow, now this is a topic I can relate to...   Recently I discovered my passion for cooking, it helped that I won a you beaut cooking package, because the stuff that came with the house was average.   Some of my favourites;   Malay Chicken Curry with Roti Canai - Takes about half a day to make properly, but it's worth the time   24hr marinaded Slow-Roasted Lamb Racks - Not giving away my secret marinade, but served on a garlic sweet potato mash with vegetables and thick, rich gravy...also goes well with abottle of good Cab Sav   New-orleans marinaded steaks with mushroom sauce - because sometimes you KNOW you'll need the protein hit   Penne Al Freddo - Bacon, cacciatora, mushrooms, cream and my homemade garlic, herbs and spices infused in olive oil   and   Homemade Gourmet Pizzas - My fav is Ham, cacciatora, mushrooms and pineapple, with crumbled fetta....so fresh and we all know what pineapple is good for.   Dessert is my specialty, Mars Bar Ice-cream Cake with crumbled maltesers and Caramel swirled through   Alright....now I'm hungry....off to the kitchen in just an apron and a smile ;)   Michael

After a few days on the road, we'll all be looking a bit rough I reckon.. all that grey stuble showing through.. lol.... and a fresh young man to lure them sexy bitches into our caravan cave is a kewl trick. As for the bunking arrangements, I still think it's best to wrestle over who's getting into whose Jeans later. :)  Pack some baby oil in the van, Jean. Can't wrestle without smothering ourselves in baby oil first... I saw it on Turkish TV!   Hugs Stalky

Stalky, My resolution was "satisfied" after 12 days, thankfully I can be quite the cheeky, persuasive type;) nice date, then a few days later, hotel room and we nearly didn't make it to dinner! Good to know i've still got it, and now I'm free to enjoy some of lifes finer pleasures;) and this way you don't have to deal with me shooting strange looks at inanimate objects on the caravan trip, I can put all my effort into luring the lasses with sweet scents if aromatic cooking and my all too cheeky smile;)...... Stalky, get your mind out of the gutter! Cheers, Michael
