Well, I haven't been through it so I can't comment but it's interesting about women asking for a divorce at this time of their life. I know that at times I can be over the top when my hormones are raging... crying, and getting very very angry. I control it pretty well but sometimes I just like to let loose and let people have it because it is just so damn satisfying!! Oops am I bad? Mind you I may deny I said this tomorrow so............ lol, The only real experience I can speak of is when I lived with my sister during her pregnancy. I never really understood how walking on egg shells, and being worried about doing the wrong thing can put you so on edge. Even though I totally understood why she was like that. I just tried not to do the things that annoyed her at the time and waited it out. Not sure if I was supposed to do something else??

this about how to behave or not behave with a husband....I am single.I am not "very" moody.....I am hot as hell....you could bake an egg on my skin in the night.....and I get pain....in all my joints.....terrible cramps in my lower calf muscles and my toes.....I asked the Doc for hormone replacements....but that's not possible because my sister has ovarian cancers. I will see what is out there for me so I am not jumping up suddenly and cry because it hurts so much.On the other hand...I would ask my husband, boyfriend to sleep in another bed so its not to hot with a body beside me....I jump under the shower in the middle of the night to cool myself. My temper is fine , I think, only I don't care............lucky I am getting still horny and wet. Some poor women have to deal with this too.I am going through a bit of a rebellious stage.....................lol....I am 57 and will lose my licencee for the first time in my driving life. Now I am driving 10 km under the limit, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, and everybody give me the finger or shakes their head.I think and question a lot of why I do what I do, about life and love. I could say women are waking up and the women who walk out just want to be alone. Most women around the age of 50 have never really lived a single life.We have been kids, girlfriends mothers wives......always in a way restricted to do what WE want.Again think back....girls have been treated differently then boys in families in the 50th and 60th.Now we have a sense of freedom...even we have to"suffer"again through this shit time. I think the best is to give her space as much as you can....don't say anything about PMS or this menopause crap dont make jokes about it....try to understand.....I just say remember your teenage years......everything your parents said was utter shit you hated it you hated the world the restrictions.....lol that's how we feel.......even with our partners. I feel terrible at times......but I can close my door and hide.....I can let my temper out....I can kick the bedpost...bucket dog cat......I can cry scream and beg for an orgasm.....when I feel like it. I AM FREE.I hope this helps.

Litonya - try some magnesium for the cramps. Crampeze (can get it in Woolies and Chemist) works wonders. When I started to go through menopause I was a mess. Irritable one moment, then happy, then crying, my brain disappeared completely. Hot flushes - air con on in the car in winter and hanging around the freezer section of the shops with ladies giving me knowing glances. Woody just said please go and do something! So now I am on HRT patches and they are brilliant! I would suggest to you wife (and please be sensitive) that maybe she should go and get some blood tests done. Once she is on HRT you really shouldnt have a problem. Pusscat xxx

I am one of the lucky ones who has sailed through menopause with barely any problems (smug single smiles) and if anything my libido has increased (more smug single smiles). Now I know I am the only woman who has been fortunate in this way...there are many of us. So maybe you guys should spend less time at the cricket and more time finding us.

Quoting 'Litonya'I asked the Doc for hormone replacements....but that's not possible because my sister has ovarian cancers. Interesting....I didn't realise a family history of ovarian cancer could affect hormone therapies for menopause, although it makes sense now that I think about it. I have a family history on my mother's side (both her sisters) so that's something to keep in mind.

I have a family history on my mother's side (both her sisters) so that's something to keep in mind. For the same reason that a man with an enlarged prostate will not be given andro therapy... the testosterone is thought to speed up and metastasise cell growth in some patients. HugsGazpacho

In my 20s I ran a business that employed quite a few ladies in this age bracket. ( I blame it for my hair going grey prematurely lol) During this time a few of the ladies went through this change in life, and would become quite irrational at times for no apparent reason . A lovely gentile lady would suddenly turn into a fearsome she-devil . When her husband came to pick her up , I took him aside to ask what was happening , he broke down and cried . He revealed that she was on HRT and had changed types to try and bring the mood swings under some kind of control unsuccessfully . He couldn't even talk to her at times it was so bad , he was living in fear at times . Eventually she agreed to see a specialist who helped treat her with Asian herbal remedies . But my point is that menopause affects different women in different ways , you just don't know till it happens just how much it will change you . So it is incredibly hard for men to understand what is happening. They can do their best to be supportive but if they are being screamed at for doing so then it is tough going knowing how to help . - Posted from rhpmobile

Just dragging myself out of bed some days was such an effort! Help with the housework, do some cooking etcAbove all else just be patient.....Everyone is different Gaz, I have friends who went through it with no symptoms at all! yet I at 39 copped it big time ;(

Not affecting my libido. A few hot flushes. Oops I meant POWER SURGES, no cramps. A little moodier at times but then no more than normal period hormone hell anyway. Basically..... "Ain't no body got time for that" - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'Handmaiden' Not affecting my libido. A few hot flushes. Oops I meant POWER SURGES, no cramps. A little moodier at times but then no more than normal period hormone hell anyway. Basically..... "Ain't no body got time for that" - Posted from rhpmobile haha! I know exactly what you mean with the power surges. My thyroid is like a ferrari with dirt in the fuel line. One day I'm revved up to the hilt to go, the next, I can't get out of bed... Don't think too hard about the cameras doctor's install into every orifice available. My only true respite is the thought that they use different cameras for different orifices! I don't fancy having a camera that was shoved up someone's butt, forced down my throat, you know what I am saying? The least they could do is run it under a tap fro 20 minutes but no, they're on a schedule! I've even got pictures of my bladder, Handmaiden... do you have any idea how difficult it must have been to get a 50mm zoom lens down the eye of my cock for that? Let's not even think about the guiding ultrasound devices. Meeka's strap on is a pin-dick compared to those fuckers. HUgsGAzpacho

Ahh hmm. The zoom lens down the eye of your cock doesn't sounds like it would be very pleasant. Eek! I had numerous ultrasounds of my ovaries and uterus last year. Have you seen those cameras? It is like they are going to put a small base ball bat up your twat. Thank god for lube, eh!

Quoting 'gazpacho51' Anyways… a few of the lads in particular lately are always moaning about the missus so we formed a little support group for men who are suffering from being married to their menopausal wife (We haven’t thought of an appropriate acronym for the group yet, so give it your best shot).Blokes Against the Never-ending Suffering of Hormone Elicited Evil.

I've been smirking here all day struggling for a witty retort but you're just too damn clever Meander with the acronyms. When someone nails it like that... There's no need to keep trying to outdo it. Perfect. It's my shout next time I see you! Hugs Gazz
