  Don't go with any expectations. Sometimes the reality can be very different to how you imagine it and you react in a totally unexpected way. That's cool just go with the thought that you will observe and meet some greet people and if you end up playing that's a bonus. Don't put pressure on yourselves to play. I hope it's a good party with good people there. Let us know how you get on. :)
