Don't expect, and never give up!

Life is a journey full of surprises. Some can be bad and some will be good. When I was a lot younger, I put life and love in a frame of expectations and rules, which always ended up going in opposite direction of my expectations (no surprise lol)! Lessons learned and so I stopped expecting anything, especially in the recent years while I'm travelling on this journey of duty of care for my ill parent. And as I have stopped and learned to enjoy life as it comes, something good and happy also comes along :) Yes, like I said in Auntie Annie's thread, I have found the one thing that I desire, ultimately, fairly recently.......LOVE! :) it came knocking on my door so unexpectedly with a man I have been having a FWB relationship with for three years! Who would have known! :) so, my heart is beating fast with the thrill and happiness and I still can't believe it is happening! 😛 Therefore, I will remain in here only for the Forums from now on, as I cannot just leave my "family" here behind! Hence, I'll still be around in the Forums :) Good things come to those who wait :) - Posted from rhpmobile

    Magical things can happen :) Sweetgem, you deserve the happiness you are experiencing, wishing you every happiness for fun times ahead 😘 The 'never give up' approach is one I try to live by, it helps with the highs and lows of life :) I too have learnt to stop and enjoy life and we've made some big choices about changing aspects of our lives. At the end of 2017 we'll be moved to Brisbane, it's a staged process for us and Stage 1 is complete :) I can't wait for our transition to be complete :) Enjoy sweetgem and thanks for sharing.     Again I'm so happy for you, and I hope things continue to get better and better from here. That's the thing - we tend to have high expectations and then wonder why we are disappointed. I've learnt to lower mine, and lower again. Then nice surprises tend to come my way. Never give up is a great motto for lots of situations but just as important is 'learn to let go.' Too many people don't know how to just walk away and brush things off. One of my favourite sayings is: Knowing when to walk away is wisdom Being able to is courage Walking away with your head held high, is dignity Best of luck and it's great you'll be staying around for the forums xx

    So wonderful for you! So true how attitudes change to love as we mature and learn from past. No person is perfect and to be able to endure life and make a relationship work there has to be lots of give and take and open communication without taking offence. Personally I think everyone knows when they meet the person that fits into your life. To be able to give that person lots of love and appreciate them for who they are and vice verse is my mantra. I found this website great for anyone in transitions in there life, because I do believe in love :) - Posted from rhpmobile

    Reading different posts , you get to form a picture of what the person is about. My perception of you is that before anything , you are the lady first. You have your traditional ways mixed with a need to push your boundry's. Looks like you did just that and found the happy medium. Good for you...

    Everyone for your kind words and best wishes 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I am an extrovert, so I tend to feel better when I speak up and share my feelings, when I can or feel needed to 😛 My topic comes with a message to whom may be reading it :) I am not here to show off anything. Instead, I hope that by sharing my happiness on screen would give people, who are in similar situation as mine, some hopes as well as a new perspective to look at things differently, or an inspiration to not think too much at times and just grasp whatever opportunities that come their way. Plus, let go (as Soft said) of their fears, or worries, or grudges, etc. and live life in a more light hearted sense. Life is too short and unpredictable to miss its happy side of things! :) Today, I had a follow up check up for one of my ongoing health issues. No surprise that I was warned again to be careful with stresses, as they can affect my health and create more problems! I was particularly warned about my eyes issue as blindness is one of the biggest risks! From that consultation, I know that I should really let go of many worries that I have been carrying inside me (that includes to love and to be loved), just live in the now and keep my stresses at bay! I thought today would be the last round of medical check up for 2016, but I was wrong and am needing to go back for another check up in two weeks time! What a surprise! 😅 Therefore, my message to whom may be reading this topic, but don't make any comments, is: don't stress too much for the things that are beyond your controls! Let go of what is making you unhappy and be courageous! :) Have a safe and wonderful holidays everyone, take care and be similing no matter what 😁 - Posted from rhpmobile

    Nibblemebi, Summer and Missb4u for yours kind words of support and best wishes 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I, too, hope for the better in 2017, especially for my health! My parent's illness won't improve, it will only get worse and worser as time moves on! So, I'll be by mum's side as much as I have been, even though I have a new relationship to build up at the same time. Thankfully Mr D (initial of his name) is an understanding, relaxed and supportive person. He never gets stressed about my hands-tight and time poor circumstances, and never cares about giving both of us the best experience when it comes to financial stuff. I am honoured, as well as touched, to have received so much loves from you all, which makes me think that I must have done something good in life to be liked like this! Thank you guys 🙏🏼 you are kind and wonderful humans who make others feel worthy, and have hopes, in time of need 😙😙 PS.     Sweetgem. To all the doomsayers that tell you that you cant find a proper relationship in RHP aother example. This place is a tool for meeting peple in different circumstances. And as with normal life, when people gather, things happen. Even when you are not looking.

    In my own experiences, meeting people/finding love online is no different to meeting people/finding love in the real world! I met my ex husband through one of my best friends, but he turned out to be a hell-sent devil, the worst of all in my past long term committed relationships!
