Country social meet and greets

February 28 2019

We are running social meet and greet nights in country NSW this year. Being from the country we are aware of the concerns of living in a small country town and being recognised. How do people feel about events in small regional areas? We are running one in Tamworth Saturday night. - Posted from rhpmobile

I think it would be great but yes I'd be very nervous as discretion is a big thing for us at the moment. That may change in the future, who knows. Good luck with it.

All I remember it was at a really lovely Irish pub. The organiser was a lady I was seeing at the time, and there were maybe 6 of us all up. It definitely made for a lovely night out and the desserts were to die for.... The ripped jeans though were a tad embarrassing though lol

Yes we know the Irish pub it has great music there at times! We had ours at a private room in a pub which worked really well and will let you know how Tamworth goes. Going to run one at Wagga on the 27th of April too

Similar would apply. I would come up to NSW again if it worked (the last was in Sydney but would also travel regionally). I would add, that sometimes a small number together to eat, drink and be merry works wonderfully also as an alternative to the much larger social events. One in Tamworth or nearby around the time of the country music festival would also be lovely :)

@countrytouch Would love to see you at one of our country meets. There seems to be a lot of interest from country people and everyone we've met so far has been very friendly and mixed easily. Keep you posted on how tamworth goes. As well as dubbo, wagga and bathurst coming up we're planning a wine tour day trip in mudgee and the hunter valley. Really great to mix in a social no pressure environment with like minded couples and singles
