My guess is that this interesting activity happens in private.... a good environmentally friendly catch, fuck, tag and release policy! Young guys walk out smiling... cougars brag about their toy boy to their friends over coffee... everyone's a winner.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I love younger guys for fun, but it's rare to find one with the maturity to keep me entertained outside of the bedroom. On the flipside, and I'm just guessing here, I'm probably a tad boring for them outside the bedroom too.

We have a 12 year age difference and have been together 20 years, travelled the world, had the kids, bought the house!!!!!!! and we are still here.

Hoodlem, I think you make a good point. Very rarely do you see or hear of an older woman and younger guy relationship. As a youngish person, I personally love the feel, touch and personality of alot of older woman. I dont know if it is an embarassment thing but I think it is the way a younger male approaches a older woman. Every person is unique and different so it is all about chemistery.... Personally would I love to meet an older woman on rhp.... (any takers.... just kidding) Cougar lover....

I used to try Speed dating and I used to wonder why the pairings were like 18-26 year old ladies with 22-30 year old guys. I then realised that in most relationships, the guy is usually the same age or older. As to why it depends on the individual. From what I have observed: * Women are considered to mature at a younger age than guys. * Women like their man to be strong, and an older/wiser/more mature man usually fits the bill. * It's the norm, everyone else does it and so do they * It's a subconsious thing and they never really realised it till it was pointed out to them (like myself) On the other hand, women might not like to be seen with younger guys because of the stereo type or stigma of society. When 2 people get along, age isn't an issue unless you let it become one. I've had a someone who I have gotten along with for about 6 years, we played on occasion and had no problem going out to dinner or dancing, we just got along and didn't care what anyone thought. She was 15 years older, and it was all good :) I have met a few women where I was the younger one, and gotten along just fine, age isn't an issue for me at all. At the end of the day, that if 2 people get along ... why not just go for it.

Ok I think I am qualified to weigh in to this debate as a cougar, and personally i dont think young guys want to be tied to an older woman, and for the cougar i personally feel it is a bit like robbing the cradle to have a relationship (not that any of them want one) with someone who is so much younger than me, so the alternative is a good fuck by one and all, and we all go home happy, and if they want a relationship then I would consider it, but they dont.

some of it probably has to do with society's acceptance of such a relationship but i think that sort of thinking has come a long way over the years. i went out for a little while with a woman over 10yrs older than me and while friends and family accepted it i always felt as though they were a little uncomfortable with it. the relationship ended primarily because in the end we wanted different things in life and those things did have a lot to do with our ages. but agreeing with early comments the sex was unbelievable so perhaps that is the main reason why older women and younger men get together. and by the way, lilmissfussy, no way you are a cougar!

I get messaged by younger guys a lot, however, they have to convince me that they will enjoy me before I respond positively. If I thouht they might get turned off by my 'older' body - which is not in bad nick but certainly not 20 something - then I will consider them very seriously. I like blowing young men's minds.....a memory they can use for a very long time :)

No way does it embarass me being a 'cougar'. Im proud to be one and the excitement of 'catching' a toyboy for a nite is great for the self esteem, not to mention the good it does for the rest of you LOL. Bring em on! Rrrrooaaarrrr

I enjoy the company of much younger men in the privacy of my bedroom (with the consent of my husband). I am married and enjoy an MFM quite often but I wouldn't choose to be out in public flaunting it. I do enjoy admiring younger men from afar when I am out in public but leave the rest of my desires for the bedroom.

this is the definition wikipedia gives for the term. im not saying its exactly what i think but its apparently what the world thinks. Cougar – an older woman who sexually pursues men at least eight years her junior. The term has been used in (American) TV series, advertising and film. The 2007 film Cougar Club was dedicated to the subject. It is also featured in the recurring Saturday Night Live sketch "Cougar Den".
