  Why not wait until you get over there and cast about then, on here and elsewhere? I would imagine it to be far more exotic and fun to do with locals than just other Aussies. Could you do us a favour though, and let us know if Paris is still a shit hole? I went there 10 years ago and was gobsmacked at how grotty it all was.

  Like any big city Paris has its affluent areas , and its seedy, grimy areas. That makes it fun to explore. There are also some very nice swingers clubs.

  Others have said the same DC, that there are some nice areas of Paris. Certainly, the areas I covered in a few days, on foot mostly - disgusting. Beggars and rubbish, rubbish and beggars - that is my enduring memory of Paris.
